Almost out of Texas

We're on the move, leaving Rockport at 8 AM this morning. We got a great start, as there was no rain nor fog! We decided to go as far as we could today, so the next 2 days could be shorter legs, especially day #3, as we are planning a stop to finish up some Christmas shopping in Springfield MO before heading south to Branson.

It looked good on paper, until we got caught in a traffic snarl caused by a two car accident on the beltway around Dallas. That made us 'late' getting to the north end of Dallas, so we ended up fighting commuter traffic all the way to McKinney, TX. We took it nice and cool and it just made our day a bit longer.

Ellen drove a nice middle leg of the day, about 2 and a half hours worth, which allowed me to relax and sleep a little bit. The long day netted something like 460 miles, very out of the ordinary for us. We are snuggled in at the Lazy L RV park on the south side of Sherman TX, about 20 some miles from Oklahoma. Low tonight of 27 or so....

today's thought: If everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
